Personal Interest Collage

Choose a theme (Ex. Running, Nature, birds) – Make a Collage

The collage has to contain at least 20 pictures – Go to the internet, remember your usage rights, find 20 photos that relate to your theme and save them in a folder on your desktop called collage.

Start with the following steps:

Open Adobe Photoshop

Go to File – New – 8 inches wide, 8 inches height, 300 resolution

Go to File – Save As and save it on your desktop as your first name, last name, collage.psd

Choose a color in the color picker by double clicking on the color and changing it to the color you would like.

Use the paint bucket Screen Shot 2015-09-01 at 8.30.09 AMfrom the tools palette to fill the background with a color of your choice.

In a folder on your desktop you should have 20 photos that you found on the internet, using your Move toolScreen Shot 2015-09-01 at 8.31.18 AM, drag one of the photos into your collage paper.

Make sure to hit RETURN on your keyboard to keep the photo in place.

On your layers palette make sure you Rasterize your photo if necessary.

Use Free Transform (Command-T) if necessary to size your selection.

Arrange your images, overlapping, rotating, etc. to achieve the look you are trying to design.

Try using some filters or effects and the eraser to blend the edges together, the final result should be one image that is blended together.
