Blur Background

Find or take a photo of your choice

Open the photo in Photoshop

Once the photo is open, go to the Layers Palette fly out menu and duplicate the layer

Double click on the Background Copy layer words and rename them “Duplicate Layer”

Turn off the visibility of the layer by clicking on the “eye” icon

Double click on the Background layer words and rename “blur”

Go to Filter – Blur – Motion Blur

Set the sliders for angle and distance to your choice.

Click ok

In the Layers Palette, click on the “eye” icon on the Duplicate Layer to make it visible again.

Click on the Duplicate Layer to Select

Set the feather to 10 px

Draw a lose path around the subjects.

Go to the Select Menu choose Inverse, then click the Delete key on the keyboard

Go to your Layer Palette and choose Flatten Image.

Go to File and Save As MotionBlur_name.jpg

Then File and Save for the web, post the before and after to your blog with a paragraph description.
