Bottle Label Project

This project has many parts, please read all the information below so you don’t miss anything.

Part 1 – Plastic Bottle Homework, bring in your own plastic bottle, it should have NO liquid inside. It should be rinsed and cleaned out.

Part 2 – Research, go on line and find 10 examples of bottle label designs

Part 3 – Measure YOUR bottle label, using string and a ruler. Use those measurements to create your document in photoshop, remember to make the resolution 300.

Part 4 – Design the Product Logo – it should have a name you can read clearly, think of your research, come up with your OWN product name (don’t use one that already exists)

Part 5 – Design your Nutrition Facts – make up your own ingredients and Nutrition Facts, they should appear as if they are EXACTLY like a typical Nutrition Fact layout but with your OWN information and text.

Part 6 – Use a real label as your guide. Design your label using:

  • A logo
  • A name you can read clearly
  • Bar code  – You need to create this yourself, NO COPYRIGHT materials
  • Ingredients – You need to create this yourself
  • Contact information
  • Background design
  • Fluid Ounces

Part 7 – When you have finished your design, print, cut out and adhere to your plastic bottle. Photograph the final product in multiple views so you can see all sides of the label

Part 8 – 3D can in photoshop (see instructions)

Part 9 – What to Post – Don’t forget your paragraph (3-5 sentences) description of each item.
