Final Campaign

Part 1 -Name

Come up with 10 possible names for a Sports Company in a list and post them on your blog. Once posted show your instructor and discuss it together to chose a final name for your Sports Company.

Part 2 – Design a logo

Using the name you came up with and the skills you have learned in Photoshop design a logo for your Sports Company.

The logo must be simple, graphic mark (symbol) with a Adobe Kuler Color Scheme that you designed in Photoshop. It must include the name in the logo design. Think about your font (NO Myraid Pro). It could include brushes or 3D text or gradients, etc. (typically a logo is NOT a photo)

This section usually established the design for the rest of the month so make sure you like it!

Part 3 – Design Brief

Answer the following questions in a blog post.

  • What is the company name
  • Who is your target audience
  • What is the rational behind your color scheme –
    • Color: Explain the color choices. Why did you choose them? What does the color represent? How does the color choice relate to the business? Sometimes color isn’t a part of the first round of concepts, so whenever color is does get introduced it’s important to add it to your rationale. You can read more about color psychology here in the article “Color Psychology in Logo Design”.

Part 4 – Ad Campaign

Create this sports company an ad campaign, including a headline.

Come up with 5 possible headlines for the company – A headline in advertising grabs the attention much like a newspaper’s headline. An advertising headline is designed to be the first copy the potential customer reads. Bold, large font size and various colors are some of the methods used to make the headline stand out from copy. A headline must be written well in order to be effective and draw the reader into the ad.

Part 5 – Storefront

Place the logo on the exterior of a storefront and the interior of a sports store. Add your logo to an existing photo of an exterior store and the interior of a store. Make sure the photo makes your product look appealing and stand out.
